About us - Conor and Joe

Written by Conor

When Joe and I were younger, I think we both had aspirations of playing on the PGA Tour. Watching Rory McIlroy, Padraig Harrington, Shane Lowry and other Irish heroes, we both thought to ourselves - maybe we could do too….

Unfortunately for the 2 of us, we didn't quite possess the same talent as young Rory (although Joe certainly possessed more than me).

Joe got his handicap down to 2 and gave it a real go at the Irish under 18 circuit. 4 was the best I could manage.

Joe made some cuts. I certainly did not.

The two of us met as kids but it wasn't until the summer of 2013 when we were 20 that we became close - we travelled to America for a summer to caddie at a golf club in Newport Rhode Island called Carnegie Abbey (now the Aquidneck Club) and had the best summer of our lives. Carrying a golf bag and strolling the lush fairways of this beautiful part of the world, meeting some incredible people along the way.

The Irish and the Americans have a special connection. America is like a big brother to Ireland, at least that's how it felt to us. That summer was special, we loved the people and the golf. It was a formative experience for the two of us.

But then we came home, any dreams of playing on the PGA Tour a distant memory so we got ourselves some big boy jobs - working in the corporate world. Joe for KPMG and me for Salesforce.

We both travelled the world as best we could whenever we could get a break from the office - from Sleepy Hollow to Royal Melbourne and Royal County Down. Somewhere along the way, I think we both realised that the beauty of golf isn't always in the competition (although we both always have to play for a fiver at least whenever we play), it's about the exploration.

Roaming around a new course with your best friends is a magic thing to do. A couple of years ago, Joe, myself and 2 of our mates packed the clubs in the car and headed for Tralee on Ireland's south west coast on a late summer's evening with the sun peeking through the clouds.

As we strolled through the dunes, everyone we met had a smile on their faces. Is there anything better than standing on a tee box for the first time with your best friends or a parent and just looking out and seeing the waves crash against the cliffs below you or the land sprawling out in front of you?

We decided to pursue the life we wanted - roaming around the great courses of the world. We want to help you do the same.

If that sounds like your thing — come roam with us.

Why choose us?

01 — We've played it

We've roamed Ireland and the world in search of great golf. Every trip and event we run is built on courses we know, love and believe are worth your time. We've drank pints of Guinness in the local pubs, eaten at the restaurants and walked the path before you.

02 — We don't oversell

Less is more. We won't pack your trip with courses just for the sake of it. We choose towns worth staying in and build the days so you can focus on the golf and the company — not the logistics.

03 — We're in it with you

This isn't a faceless booking engine. Joe and Conor are 2 Irish guys that are really trying to give this a go. We're not a big corporate, we're just 2 guys that know how to build the best golf trips in Ireland.
